Preview: Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan Bring ‘Double Down Tour’ to Nationals Park

Washington, D.C. — Two of country music’s absolute biggest superstars are joining forces to tear down the house in the Nation's Capital. On Thursday, August 20, Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan will bring their co-headlining Double Down Tour to Nationals Park for an explosive, stadium-sized night of hit after hit live music.

For me, this show carries a special personal connection. All the way back in 2011, I had the opportunity to see Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan share a stage together on tour. At the time, it was actually the very first country concert I had ever attended and it completely changed my perspective, giving me a massive appreciation for country music as a genre.

Both Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean put on an absolutely stellar performance with pure, electric energy. Beyond singing through his own massive catalogue, Luke Bryan broke out unexpected covers outside of the country genre, instantly pulling in someone like me who wasn't originally deeply rooted in country music. Since that night, I’ve been a huge fan of both artists, catching them on several occasions over the years. They have never once disappointed, consistently delivering high-octane performances that keep entire venues on their feet.

I recently had to opportunity to provide full photo coverage for Luke’s fellow American Idol judge, the legendary Lionel Richie, during his show in Philadelphia, I’ve seen firsthand the world-class showmanship these global superstars bring to the stage. I’m now looking forward to stepping into the pit at Nationals Park to document every high-energy, unforgettable moment that Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean deliver to D.C.

Rounding out this stacked stadium lineup on August 20th are direct support acts Dylan Scott, Dasha, Dee Jay silver, and DJ Rock. This is one event you won't want to miss!
