When We Were Young Festival Taking a Break Until 2027

Fans of punk, metal, emo, and people who might’ve just been born in the late 90s may be aware of a festival named When We Were Young featuring bands like Jimmy Eat World, Paramore, Avril Lavigne and many other artists who made the pre-2010 era tolerable for me growing up. An October festival in perpetually sunny Las Vegas, Nevada it’s known for drawing a substantial crowd each year; but this year music fans are going to need other plans for October.

As announced on their webpage, When We Were Young will not be holding its’ festival this year. It’s not over, it’s just taking a break and planning to return to Vegas come 2027. Fans might be distraught for now, but with the money saved from When We Were Young they might consider visiting a different festival with tons of classic artists or see a few different local artists (always support local!). If the news is still sad, just hold on one more year! As stated earlier and on their webpage:

“This isn’t goodbye — it’s just a pause.”
