Black Veil Brides New Single, “Certainty”
Black Veil Brides released their new single “Certainty” on Thursday January 8th. This is their first single of 2026. They also released a music video to accompany it. This song is definitely a move towards a heavier sound. The song has Andy Biersack screaming and super heavy guitar. The song is very metal and quite catchy.
The music video reflects the more metal sound while still continuing the religious theming of Black Veil Brides. The music video follows the band playing the song in an old house while people fight outside. While Andy sings, he switches between being in the house and digging outside.
Throughout the music video, there is a goat that is seen walking around outside and moving in the house. The goat is a major focal point. In a lot of horror movies and media, goats are a visual allegory for Satan or a demonic presence. This metaphor ties into the digging that Andy is doing in the music video.
At the end of the video, it is revealed that Andy has been digging a grave the whole time. You can see flames shooting out of the hole and lights reflected in his eyes. It seems that he has opened a portal to Hell. When the video is over, you can see the hole smoking and scorched.
Overall, both the song and music video are great! I highly recommend checking them out. I’m very happy to see Black Veil Brides move to a metal sound and to continue growing their sound.
