Fall Out Boy welcome you to their new era at the Twilight Town Mall with a new website including clickable security camera footage and multiple Easter egg stores with promises of more to come soon.
Fall Out boy began going live on their instagram on the 27th of October, starting with lead singer Patrick Stump silently going through and sorting vinyls for 18 minutes and 11 seconds. The next day, the 28th of October, guitarist Joe Trohman went live with his camera equipment for 4 minutes and 56 seconds. Following the trend, on the 29th of October, drummer Andy Hurley went live playing a claw machine for 4 minutes and 13 seconds. Closing the member lives, the 30th of October saw bassist Pete Wentz live building a casket in front of a large fish tank for 3 minutes and 22 seconds.
Following Wentz’s live, the Fall Out Boy accounts changed their profile pictures across their social platforms, indicating the end of the ‘Stardust’ era and the step into something new.
All of the live streamed activities can be found reflected in stores currently featured on the revamped Fall Out Boy website, which is currently “The Twilight Town Mall” with the directory now open. The site has interactive tabs including events, offers, visit, and a contact phone number that when called, has Stump welcoming you to The Twilight Town Mall and thanking you for your interest.
Fans are currently in a frenzy deciphering clues from store names, lengths of the lead in livestreams, attempting to isolate audio from the security camera footage, and the full message delivered when calling the mall’s phone number. Some have even received messages back from texting the contact number, told to “Stay tuned”.
It has been over three years since Fall Out Boy’s last record, So Much (For) Stardust was released. This time frame, though on the longer end, is around the typical range in the spacing between FOB records. Are we about to see a new era of the Chicago rock band?
The Band’s 3rd studio album, Infinity on High, is also approaching its 20th anniversary in 2027. With star motifs making their way into the new profile photos of the band account, fans are also speculating some kind of bigger celebration for the record also being tied into whatever the band is planning.
